I recently stayed at a charming traditional 16th Century pub in the countryside and it exceeded my expectations. The hosts were friendly and engaging, adding to the overall charm of the place. The budget room I stayed in was basic but provided everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The highlight was definitely the food - the portions were generous and the breakfast was made to order, catering to my personal taste. I was impressed that they also accommodated my gluten-free needs, and even gave me some leftover gluten-free bread. The friendly atmosphere and evening chats with other guests made for a memorable experience. the hotel had excellent cleanliness, good facilities, convenient parking, and a great location near Dartmoor. The staff were attentive and made me feel right at home.
For us, this hotel was ideal.
